Welcome to the Monday Morning Rip Off….
These are the 5 videos, articles, audio, and products that I have found over the past week that have helped me, interested me, or enabled me to write obnoxiously colorful journal entries.
When I started writing, I had no idea how to create cool images, Facebook posts, and profile pictures. Luckily, I found Canva. Canva makes it stupid easy to create cool graphics, info graphics, flyers, and pretty much anything else. Granted Canva doesn’t stop me from making bad graphics, but at least it allows me to make them for free.
After carrying my suitcase around hot ass Greece and, then, again in Australia, I resolved to never travel with a rolling suitcase again. So, on this past trip to Europe, I carried only the Osprey Farpoint 40 for the entire journey. The backpack is expensive, but I could not be happier with the way it performed and how comfortable it was. I was able to carry the backpack fully loaded for multiple mile treks to train stations and hotels with no issues.
I am not going to lie…. I am a sucker for colored pens. I found these colored pens an Amazon not too long ago and my girlfriend surprised me with them this past week.
They are awesome! I have pens from Office Depot, Sam’s, and Walmart that cost triple what these did and do not write nearly as well. If you have an obsession with writing in different colors, check these out.
I am a shitty photographer. I have the worst time finding the “right” picture and getting the photograph to look as perfect as I want is almost impossible.
Luckily, Unsplash exists. All the photographs are royalty free and gorgeous. I use the photographs for blog posts, Facebook Posts, and even the background on my phone and computer.
Up until a few months ago, I always used an Aeropress to make my coffee. I love the Aeropress. It makes awesome coffee and travels well. However if I need to make more than one cup of coffee, the Aeropress is a complete and utter pain in my ass.
Enter the Bodum Chambord 34 Ounce French Press. The coffee is just as good as my Aeropress and I can make more than one cup at a time. I bought mine at Target, so if you can’t wait just pick one up there. Otherwise, Amazon is the same price with free Prime shipping.
